The TP-Link Tapo C530WS is a 3K 5MP outdoor pan and tilt security Wi-Fi camera designed to provide detailed surveillance for homes, entrances, gardens, businesses, and other outdoor areas. It captures video at up to 2880 × 1620 resolution, delivering 2.25 times more pixels than 1080p for clearer identification of people, vehicles, packages, and other activity.
The camera provides 360° horizontal coverage and up to 130° vertical coverage, with motion tracking that automatically follows detected movement to help keep important activity within the frame. A customizable patrol mode can also move the camera between multiple predefined viewing points.
For nighttime monitoring, the C530WS combines an F1.6 wide-aperture lens, starlight sensor, infrared night vision, and built-in spotlights. Its Starlight Color Night Vision system can capture color footage in low-light conditions, while infrared illumination provides night vision up to approximately 30 meters under suitable conditions.
The camera uses AI-powered person, pet, and vehicle detection to help reduce unnecessary alerts. It can send notifications when relevant activity is detected and supports customizable sound and light alarms for an additional layer of deterrence.
The C530WS supports both 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Ethernet networking, giving users flexibility during installation. It also includes a microSD card slot supporting cards up to 512GB for local recording, as well as optional Tapo Care cloud storage. Two-way audio with noise cancellation is provided through the integrated microphone and speaker.
