MERCUSYS MS105GP 5-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch With 4-Port PoE+ is a compact unmanaged network switch designed to provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and Power over Ethernet for compatible devices. It features five 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, with four PoE+ ports capable of supplying up to 30W per port and a total PoE power budget of 65W.
The MS105GP allows compatible PoE devices to receive both network data and electrical power through a single Ethernet cable, helping simplify installations for devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and IP phones. It supports IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices and includes automatic PoE recovery to restart compatible powered devices that become unresponsive.
All five ports support Gigabit Ethernet, while the switch also provides Extend Mode, which can increase PoE transmission distance to up to 250 meters under supported conditions. When Extend Mode is enabled, the affected port speed is reduced to 10 Mbps. An Isolation Mode helps separate traffic between designated ports, and the switch uses a fanless metal enclosure for silent operation and heat dissipation.
The unmanaged plug-and-play design allows the MS105GP to be deployed without software configuration, making it suitable for small wired networks, surveillance systems, wireless access point installations, and other PoE-enabled network setups.

Important Performance Limitation
PoE Power Limitation: The switch supports up to 30W on an individual PoE port and a 65W total PoE budget across all four PoE ports. The actual available PoE power can vary depending on connected devices and operating conditions.
Extend Mode Limitation: While Extend Mode can increase PoE transmission distance to up to 250 meters under supported conditions, the network speed of ports operating in Extend Mode is reduced to 10 Mbps. Actual transmission distance also depends on Ethernet cable quality and the power requirements of the connected PoE devices.
Compatibility
The MERCUSYS MS105GP is compatible with Ethernet devices using 10/100/1000 Mbps connections and IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standards.
Compatible devices can include:
- IP cameras
- Wireless access points
- IP phones
- Network video recorders
- Desktop computers
- Laptops with Ethernet
- Printers
- Other Ethernet-enabled network devices
PoE power is available through ports 1–4 for compatible IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices. Non-PoE Ethernet devices can use the switch’s Gigabit ports for data connectivity.
