The SONY WH-1000XM6 Wireless Noise Cancelling Stereo Headset is a premium over-ear wireless headphone designed for immersive listening, travel, work, and everyday entertainment. It features Sony’s advanced HD Noise Canceling Processor QN3 and an adaptive microphone system that continuously optimizes noise cancellation in real time. Sony states that the QN3 is 7× faster than the QN1 used in the WH-1000XM5 and processes the input from 12 microphones for improved noise cancellation, sound quality, and call clarity.

The WH-1000XM6 is designed in collaboration with professional mastering engineers to deliver detailed, studio-quality sound. It supports LDAC, DSEE Extreme, and a wide Bluetooth audio frequency range of up to 40kHz when using LDAC under the specified conditions.

For calls, the headset uses an adaptive microphone system and intelligent beamforming to isolate the user’s voice from surrounding noise. Sony also provides Ambient Sound Mode, allowing external sounds to be heard when noise cancellation is not desired.

The headset supports Bluetooth 5.3, Multipoint Connection, and Sony’s newer LE Audio capabilities. Multipoint allows the headphones to remain connected to two compatible devices, while LE Audio enables lower-latency wireless audio for supported applications.

Battery life reaches up to 30 hours with noise cancelling enabled and up to 40 hours with noise cancelling disabled. The headset charges through USB and requires approximately 3.5 hours for a full charge.

The WH-1000XM6 also supports wired listening through a 3.5mm stereo mini jack, making it suitable for devices or situations where Bluetooth is unavailable. The package includes a carrying case, connection cable, USB cable, warranty card, and reference guide.
