ViewSonic ViewShare WPD-900 (VS20455) is a wireless screen-casting and presentation kit designed for meeting rooms, classrooms, offices, and home presentation setups. It provides a plug-and-play wireless connection for sharing content from laptops, tablets, and smartphones to a compatible projector, monitor, or display without requiring a dedicated casting app, driver installation, or connection to the building’s Wi-Fi network.

The WPD-900 uses an independent 5GHz peer-to-peer wireless connection between the transmitter and receiver, helping provide a direct and stable connection while keeping presentation traffic separate from the main network. ViewSonic specifies AES-128 encryption for the connection and a wireless transmission distance of up to 30 meters under its stated conditions.

Content can be displayed at up to 1080p Full HD at 60Hz, with latency specified at less than 80ms. The system supports screen mirroring and, on supported Windows and macOS setups, screen extension. Native casting options include Apple AirPlay, Miracast, and ChromeOS mirroring.

The transmitter uses USB-C, while the receiver connects to the display through HDMI and receives power through USB-A. A second USB-C port on the transmitter supports up to 60W Power Delivery pass-through charging, allowing a compatible laptop or tablet to remain powered while presenting.

The WPD-900 also supports HDCP 1.4, allowing compatible DRM-protected content to be wirelessly displayed. ViewSonic lists support for services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ under the supported HDCP configuration.

Compatibility
