MERCUSYS MS108GP 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch With 7-Port PoE+ is an unmanaged network switch designed to expand wired connectivity while supplying power to compatible PoE devices through a single Ethernet cable. It features eight 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit RJ45 ports, with seven PoE+ ports on ports 1–7.
The seven PoE+ ports support IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices and provide up to 30W per PoE port, with a total PoE power budget of 65W. This makes the switch suitable for installations involving compatible IP cameras, wireless access points, IP phones, PCs, video recorders, and other Ethernet devices.
The MS108GP supports PoE Auto Recovery, which can automatically restart compatible PoE-powered devices when they become unresponsive. It also features Extend Mode, which can increase PoE transmission distance to up to 250 meters under supported conditions, as well as Isolation Mode for separating traffic between designated ports.
With an unmanaged plug-and-play design, durable metal casing, and fanless operation, the MS108GP is designed for straightforward deployment in homes, offices, surveillance systems, and small network installations.

Important Performance Limitation
PoE Power Limitation: The MS108GP supports up to 30W on an individual PoE port, but the total PoE power available across all seven PoE ports is limited to 65W. The maximum available power for multiple connected devices therefore depends on their combined power requirements.
Extend Mode Limitation: Extend Mode can increase PoE transmission distance to up to 250 meters under supported conditions, but the port speed is reduced to 10 Mbps when Extend Mode is enabled. Actual transmission distance can also vary according to Ethernet cable quality, cable type, and the power consumption of the connected PoE devices.
Speed Limitation: The switch supports Gigabit Ethernet link rates of up to 1000 Mbps per port, but actual data-transfer speeds depend on the connected devices, cabling, network traffic, and operating conditions. The 16 Gbps switching capacity is the switch’s aggregate switching capacity and does not represent the speed available to a single device.
Compatibility
The MERCUSYS MS108GP is compatible with Ethernet devices supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps connections and PoE-powered devices compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at.
Compatible devices can include:
- IP cameras
- Wireless access points
- IP phones
- Network video recorders
- Desktop computers
- Ethernet-enabled laptops
- Printers
- Other Ethernet network devices
PoE power is available through ports 1–7 for compatible IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices. Non-PoE Ethernet devices can also use the Gigabit ports for standard data connectivity.
